At
the 2005 AGM a special presentation was made to George Brown. George
retired as Secretary having been in the post for 23 years. He also advises
on airspace matters and liaises with the RAF on our behalf and had previously
held the post of Safety Officer (for a mere 10 years !)

Thanks to our club president
James Hogarth BEM for this one. Taken some years ago the picture shows
a near miss. A few captions that spring to mind from Jim are :
1. N.O.T.A.M.S what does that mean? 2. The committee talked about a new tug but that's ridiculous. 3. I do believe you can do multiple tows with some tugs. 4. Who said all clear above and behind !!!! 5. Could it be a ghost ship? 6. The yanks always did manage to get lost on the way back.!!! After his experience Jim said something along the lines of "I nearly sh*? myself" or words to that effect. |
